The Accursed Sphinx (After Ingres) Faciality Vectors
For this project, thematically I'm interested in the concept of faces and masks, the increasingly unclear boundaries between public and private space and the overall circulation of the virus, with all its multiple vectors of contagion and subjectification. Influenced by the performative works of Olivier de Sagazan and Antonin Artaud's essay Theatre and the Plague, these works try to explore the ways in which viruses throughout history have been a major driving force in pushing us to re-evaluate and reflect on how we live and relate to the world.
